Residential Snow Melting Mats and Stair Treads for Safer Homes
Residential Heated Snow Melting Mats prevent snow and ice accumulation on walkways and stairs around your home. Made of customized thermoplastic materials, the mats are portable and can be left outside for the entire winter season. Our heated mats will generate heat to melt snow at a rate of 2" per hour leaving your pathway to the home clean and clear 24/7. The Residential Heated Walkway Mat and Heated Stair Mat can be used independently or interconnected with one another to create a continuous system of snow melting mats. With the mats' built in watertight connector cables, you can Mix and Match walkway and stair mats to create your perfect snow melting solution - all on a single plug!
Each Heated Walkway Mat and Heated Stair Mat comes with its own built in watertight connector cables. A customer can use the watertight connector cables to connect the mats to other residential mats or to a control unit. Every group of Residential Heated Mats requires a GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) control unit to connect the system to an electrical outlet. A customer can connect up to 5 walkway mats, 15 stair mats or a combination thereof (up to 15 amps) on a single control unit.
HR-Wireless - Wireless Switch; 15A, 120V
The 15 Amp Wireless Remote Control Outlet & Switch allows you to turn your mats on and off from inside your home or facility with just the click of a button. Red and green light indicators let you know when the mats are on or off. The 2-outlet design allows two mat systems to be plugged in at the same time. Rated for outdoor use. 100 ft range. 120V, 15 Amps
HR-Therm3550 - 10” Thermostat Extension Cable; 15A, 120V
This thermostat will automatically turn on your mats when the temperature drops below 35°F.. The Thermostat Extension Cable is simple to use. Plug one end directly into any 120V outlet and the other end into your mat’s Power Unit. The Thermostat Extension Cable has an LED indicator that illuminates when the thermostat is activated. It will remain activated until the ambient temperature rises above 50°F.
A 20-Inch Watertight Cable Extender can be used with Residential Walkway Mats (HR20-60), Residential Stair Mats (HR10-30). Multiple cable extenders can be connected together to create custom length cables. The 20-Inch Cable Extender and 25-Foot Cable Extender can also be connected together. When you Mix and Match the Residential Walkway and Stair Mats, there are two situations which may require you to use a 20-inch cable extender:
- Walkway Mats connecting on two different levels (i.e. - a tiered walkway). In this case you will need a 20-inch cable extender to allow the mats' cables to reach one another.
- A 'Stair Mat - Walkway Mat - Stair Mat' combination. When you connect a Stair Mat to a Walkway Mat and then to another Stair Mat, you will need a 20-inch cable extender to connect the 1st Stair Mat (closest to the outlet) to the Walkway Mat in the middle.
All electronic components are UL listed.

Customer Testimonials
"We love our heated stair mats. They are working great during this cold Michigan winter."
- Craig, Lansing, MI
"This is the best purchase I have made on a New product in ages! It performs better than I could believe! The safety advantage is outstanding. We get a lot of snow and this product kept up with Mother Nature wonderfully. I would give it 5 stars out of 5!"
- Lexy, Alpine, NJ
"Purchased two about a month ago for my uncovered porch and deck. First tested by putting on deck with several inches of snow; the area was DRY in the morning! Have kept mat on front porch and it has handled more than the 2 inches of snow per hour stated! And we have had plenty--16 inches in one week!"
- Gwen, Batavia, IL
"I live in the Central Rockies and we've gotten 2-3' snowfalls at a time and this mat has kept the entryway clear and dry, including some subzero nights. Really worth the price. It has prevented the usual accumulation of ice and snow in this area that can prevent opening the door, and it reduces the amount of snow that gets tracked indoors."
- Fred, CO
"I should have purchased this heated door mat years ago and saved myself some headaches ... and potential falls. I would recommend the manufacturer use a timer to shut the mat off. Other then that. A great idea."
- Scott, Hammond, IN
"The stair treads have worked wonderfully for me here in Massachusetts. The construction is solid and sturdy and the snow was never a problem."
- Dennis, Brockton, MA
"As soon as the heated mat arrived that afternoon I placed it on top of the ice and by the evening it had melted all the ice. We are very pleased with how it keeps all snow and ice away from this area. I'm ordering another set for our front door."
- Kris, Greenwood, IN
